Kitchens and Bath areas require special electricity wiring for electrical outlets.
The electrical outlet locations are also much different than in other portions of homes.
What are electrical requirements for kitchen and bath areas?
As electrical requirements change frequently be sure to check with your certified local electrician for any special requirements you and questions for your kitchen or bath remodeling. This a summary of a few of the guidelines from the national electrical code a few years back.
In the kitchen area the NEC requires no more than 6 fee from a given location to be from an outlet which would make the outlets no more than 12 feet apart with special outlet locations in the kitchen area or over counter-tops.
Counter-top receptacles in your kitchen must be served by two or more different circuits. Each kitchen counter space that is wider than 12 inches must have its own outlet, with no point along than countertop being more than 24 inches apart horizontally or 48" of space between the outlets in the kitchen.
Often electricians run a three wire 240 volt cable from the service panel and provide two new 120 volt circuits. One side of each receptacle is served by one of the circuits while the other side is served by the other circuit, giving two circuits available at each outlet which gives the term split circuit. Protection for over-current on a split circuit used a double breaker which is linked in the circuit's panel.
Ensuring kitchen and bathroom safety, the NEC requires GFCI protection in all new bathrooms, and in kitchen outlets within six feet of the kitchen's sink and other locations around the house. Adding ground fault protection to existing circuits makes sense in any bathroom or kitchen.
A "ground Fault" is a current leak caused by faulty electrical insulation in a tool or appliance which is plugged in. This current leak may be too small to trip a circuit breaker for your kitchen or bath area, yet can prove fatal to anyone standing on a wet floor or touching a grounded metal plumbing fixture for an example.
There are three GFCI types. One is a circuit breaker installed in the main panel. A second type of GFCI outlet is installed in the outlet box as a replacement for an existing outlet, and there also is a simple plug in GFCI outlet or extension cord. Installing a feed through GFCI outlet is the most common for kitchen and bath areas with more than one outlet. A feed through GFCI allows ground fault protection to all of the receptacles beyond the outlet in the same circuit.
Although adding GFI outlets is very simple step when remodeling kitchen or bathrooms ]people wanting to do work them selves too often make the fatal mistake of missing the minor addition of the correct type of outlet. Be sure to understand this step, or hire an electrician to make sure your kitchen and bathroom areas have the right gauge electrical wiring at the right spacing apart, and at very least ensure your circuits in areas such as Kitchens and baths where moisture can be present is protected with a GFI style of outlet.

In the stillness before it hit, men looked at each other as though a fast and wiry man had pulled a knife in a bar. They felt the trees falling before they heard the wind, and they dropped tools and scrambled to get out. The wind came up suddenly and like a scythe, like piranha after them, like seawater through a breach in a dike. The first blow bent trees in half to the ground, the second caught them and snapped them like kindling, sending limbs raining down and twenty-foot splinters hurling through the air like mortar shells to stick quivering in the ground. Bawling cattle running the fences, a loose lawnmower bumping across a lawn, a stray dog lunging or a child racing by. The big trees went down screaming, ripping open holes in the wind that were filled with the broken-china explosion of a house and the yawing screech of a pickup rubbed across asphalt, the rivet popping and twang of phone and electric wires
It was over in three or four minutes. The eerie sucking silence it left behind seemed palpably evil, something that would get into the standing timber, like insects, a memory.

Some said it pulled the community together, others how they hated living in the trees with no light. No warning. The next day it rained and the woods smelled like ashes. It was four or five days before they got the roads opened and the phones working, electricity back. Three sent down to the hospital in Holterville. Among the dead, Cawley Besson?s dog. And two deer, butchered and passed quietly in parts among neighbors.
Of the trees that fell into the river, a number came up like beached whales among willows at the tip of an island.

Can an electric wire be converted to a three prong plug-in?
Ok basically I am building a small box-thing that needs to have a wall plug-in connected to a switch. Since this thing needs to be moved around, I want it to be hooked up to an extension cord to power the wall outlet. Can I run electrical wire through the electrical outlet and light switches then have a junction box converting it into an extension cord? Thanks for any help!

Would feminists and their closet sympathizers exist without the help of men?
If women believe a wage gap exists, that means we fund the majority of government services through our income taxes. I think they should thank us men for funding their health research at the expense of our own. I mean, don't we men die sooner? How noble of us! That means we also step in and raise the kids of single moms when they get the welfare. Aren't we men generous!
Any woman who argues against this is an admission of the wage gap NOT existing.
We men work the foundries that mold the metal that's put in automobiles [and electric wire]. We men also make the cement and pave the roads for those cars to be on. They'll stick a few token women in the plants to avoid being sued, but the cars and roads will still be built without them. So women, if you need a CAR, you need a MAN.

ELECTRIC DOG FENCE IN NEW MEXICO??
So we have to keep my GSD in our yard but the wall is only 3 feet tall.
We live in a housing track but your back yard is right on the edge of the street and the Elementary School bus stop is right behind the house. If we put signs up to warn people, is it LEGAL to have electric wire on the INSIDE of the fence to keep the dog in? We live in ABQ, New Mexico. PLEASE HELP!

(10 pts) What's this movie?
ok this is a movie I saw a while ago and can't remember the name but this movie has been in my head for a long time.This is what I remember:
It starts out in this village in the jungle and it shows this old man teaching a kid how to move a sword around while holding it upside down. What else happens is that the main character is blind and is a really good sword fighter finds a kid that I think he's related two and tells him how he got blind by being in vietnam (I think) and a grenade blow up near him and the light was so bright it caused his eye sight to go away. they eventually get kidnapped at some point for some reason but in typically 80's fashion I think it was about the money (maybe) he eventually has to fight this asian guy who's also a good sword fighter over this hot tub that has electric wires going into it so one could die if they fall in it. also he kills this one guy he cut in half and falls out a window down a mountain. (it kinda reminded me of star war when Darth Maul died lol) anyway if I could get the name of this movie that would be awesome.
